OFCOM has announced that there will be a pilot of white space technology next year in the UK that could lead to a national rollout of the technology.
White spaces are unused gaps in the radio spectrum that can be exploited to deliver machine to machine communications. The Chief Executive of OFCOM wrote in The Financial Times recently about how this technology could be used and you can read the article here.
Wood & Douglas is keen to see the potential of white space fulfilled. We are actively seeking companies that might be interested in trialling this technology in partnership with us. If you wish to do so, please get in touch.
